Looking for a way to contribute? Our patrons are vital to the work of The Dance Archive. Learn how you can help us be the most comprehensive and significant dance resource center in the American West.
May 19th is #1Day4DU! The Dance Archive is taking part in the campus-wide initiative #1Day4DU. Each year the DU community comes together and supports causes close to home.
The Dance Archive project, Teach with Dance, will see The Dance Archive collaborating with K-12 educators to create curriculum guides using our collections. Classes don’t need to be movement based, but will use materials from the Dance Archive Collection to teach history. Curriculum guides used in K-12 classes will align to K-12 Colorado state standards.
Our goal is $3,000 to create two teaching guides. Our lead donor kicked us off with a $500 gift. Thank you! It’s not the size of the gift that counts, it’s the participation. Please consider a gift of any size to help us support arts based inquiry.
Invitations to events hosted by The Dance Archive including the Legends of Dance Celebration, the Annual Meeting/Exhibit Reception, and the annual trip to the Vail Dance Festival.
Participation in educational outreach to increase awareness of dance and the performing arts.
Considering a gift of books that complements existing collections or donors wishing to give rare or unique books and cultural heritage materials to The Dance Archive may contact Kate Crowe, Curator of Special Collections & Archives.
